I worked away from my hometown in British Columbia for three years (2011 - 2013 CE) during which time I was able to fly home every two weeks for a one-week break. A large US-based construction company had employed me as the onsite materials manager and being quite far up north in Alberta the weather was somewhat severe during the winter time, averaging in the low -30f range, and as high as 30 deg C in the summer. At the age of 69 years, I was the oldest person on site, and with constant shift work, turning day into night, my. health began to deteriorate, so I decided to retire in mid-2013 CE. Happy to be back at home again I turned my hand to artwork (pen, ink, and watercolor) to pass the time. Below are a few samples of my work. In 2014 CE I wrote my first book through the Amazon KDP setup and I felt this would be my final niche.
